A teenager who killed her parents posted a series of videos on TikTok to tell internet users how much she “missed” them, before being arrested for their homicide.
Sarah Grace Patrick, 17 years old, shared some clips on the social network to mourn the death of her mother, Kristen Brock, 41, and her stepfather, James Brock, 45.
In the videos, she appeared begging her followers for “prayers for healing” after allegedly killing the couple in their home on February 20, according to the site Law & Crime.
“If you asked me about my mom and my stepdad, I would say I miss them a lot. But if you asked me on a deeper level, I would say I just want to go home,” the accused murderer wrote in a video where she appeared with her family.
In another post, Sarah wrote that she felt “a lot of homesickness,” “missed them a lot,” and described her life as a “horror movie that never ends.” She was 16 when the murder occurred.
Her TikTok account was deleted, but in a major twist, a true crime content creator revealed that Sarah had contacted her to cover the case of her parents’ death.
“Why would you ask me to cover a case in which you will be arrested for taking your parents’ lives?” said TikToker AllegedlyReportedly in a video showing messages exchanged with Sarah.
“She messaged me on June 3 and said: ‘Look up the Brock case.’ Then I asked: ‘Brock Turner? Which Brock?’. She said: ‘Kristin and James Brock. They are my parents.'”
The content creator then showed how Sarah described the facts, saying that on a Thursday night in February, someone entered her house and killed her parents. Sarah then said it was her 5-year-old sister who found the bodies the next morning.
At the time, the influencer, who emphasized she “didn’t know” Sarah would be arrested for the murders a month later, expressed sympathy for the teenager.
Sarah turned herself in to the Carroll County Jail last Tuesday (9) and will be tried as an adult. She faces two counts of homicide and two counts of aggravated assault and, if found guilty, could face life imprisonment without parole.
Investigators are still trying to understand the motive behind the murders. “Any information, no matter how small, could be the key to unlocking this case,” said Carroll County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, Ashley Hulsey.
